TRANSFORMATIVE RESCUE MEDIA

Nothing changes, if nothing changes...

Transforming Dog Rescue Through Media, Education, and Big Ideas

MEDIA CHANGES LIVES.
We've seen it happen. We know it works!

Are you exhausted and overwhelmed with the endless flood of homeless dogs and cats in need? Us, too!

Shelters can barely keep up with always-full kennels. Rescues are busy rescuing. Large, legacy animal advocacy institutions are not focused on core problems behind the overpopulation crisis.

Our dog culture is uninformed. Expectations of dog ownership are out of whack. Dog reproduction is out of control.

And... nothing is changing.

We need to look at things, differently. Do things, differently.

With DLB Media, we promote awareness of specific, core issues and how we may combat them as well as feature adoptable shelter dogs.

DLB Media is not a rescue. We are a Media business.

The opportunity to adjust our cultural knowledge and behavior to effect impactful change is colossal.

Let's Fix It!

How can I support the DLB movement?

Learn what's happening curently in animal rescue (DLB Big Ideas articles) and spread your knowledge. Share media. Adopt, Volunteer, and Foster. Educate your personal friends, family, and neighbors - make change within your direct community.

Is Dallas Love Bugs a Rescue? Can you take my dog?

No, DLB is not a rescue. We create adoption media to promote shelter dogs and educational content in support of change in the space. Please contact your local municipal shelter or a rescue in your area, if you need help. Here is information on how to get a dog into a dog rescue.

Is DLB Media a Non-Profit 501(c)3?

Nope! And here's why... There are tens of thousands of nonprofits in the animal rescue space, yet the system remains broken with little effort behind the core issues to stop the flood of need. DLB is approaching the problem from a fresh angle – as a media entity. This work is highly-skilled and full-time intensive.

Think of DLB as a 24/7 news channel for shelter dogs. This type of media isn’t pre-planned or scheduled weeks in advance. It’s real-time, responsive, and constantly evolving based on the dogs' urgent needs and the media landscape. We want to change the conversation.

Why has DLB Media slowed down? You were placing hundreds of hard to place dogs, every year!

Starting in 2026, we do not have the same amount of flexible time to work 40-60 volunteer hours. There will still be the occasional batch of new pups featured from one of our media partner shelters, it will just be much less frequently! Also keep an eye out for fresh educational content. Should situations change - we will ramp up our volume, again!

Producing media and online content includes: LABOR/TALENT for strategy, production management, and core creative production costs to film, edit, create graphics, copywriting, multi-platform posting tech; commentary management and maintenance; messaging management; stalker/harasser manaagement, research and maintenance of data and educational talking points; article writing, editing, publication, and promotion. DEVELOPMENT hard costs associated with continued communication creativity for new features and products including ideation, production mapping and execution, design work, and prototype creation. PLATFORM FEES for websites, integrated online tools and applications, email, payment processing, video and audio editing tools. OFFICE AND LEGAL FEES workspace and legal support.

DLB believes in the value of media to adjust our awareness and approach to the grave problem of dog overpopulation and the resulting EU. We are interested in development of scalable models for actionable change and teachable methods for improved, more efficient rescue animal communications and adoption marketing.
